Experience is the most important factor in building. Many contractors have experience in many areas but not all areas. Sometimes they are not humble enough to admit they are not as good at certain things as they are at others. When it comes to building a home, I have the experience and skills that it takes to to the job and do it very well. I am extremely good at what I do. I started working for a contractor full time when I was 16 years old building custom homes and renovating older homes. After 9 years of experience with every aspect of building I recieved my Master Carpenters License. I continued to work building new homes for the next 2 years until I was badly injured on a job. I was not able to work because of the extent of my injuries for 5 years. I was determined to get back to doing what I loved to do even though I was told that I couldn't and I went to work for another contractor for a year. I knew at that point I was able to keep going so I started my own business renovating houses. After 4 very successful years and a couple hundred very satisfied customers I decided to start building new homes. In the last for years I have become even better at building than I have ever been. My wife nancie is a dental assistant by trade but has a hard time finding a full time position in that field. Her biggest interest is working with me building and renovating. We have been working together for a few years now and its great. She can lay decking, mud and tape drywall, measure and cut lumber, assist me with framing, finishing, and pretty much everything. She also has a great eye for design and comes up some great ideas on the fly. Together we can build beautiful things. I rarely have to hire someone to help me and when I do its only for a short time and only to do labour work. I am the one that is on the jobsite at all times and it is my wife and I that are doing all of the work, not an employee.
